Reasons for the Blog

So, when Zach's down range (aka in Iraq for the civilians reading this...), I want to keep up a blog about Esther and things going on here for Zach to read so if he's online, I don't necessarily need to be on for him to know what's going on.  I want to get into the habit now so I'll be sure to keep it up while he's over there.  Also, it's a good way to catalogue the growing of our little girl, and I'm sure the grandparents are going to enjoy reading this about little Esther.  But mainly, it's a way to keep Zach in the loop.

After a grueling couple days to close out the trip home, Esther's hopefully starting to settle into a routine here in Kansas.  Just in time for us to leave for a family retreat this upcoming Saturday.  She's been a fairly happy baby the past couple days.  She actually smiled TWICE today.  The first time I've been sure she wasn't smiling just "from gas".  She's really staring a faces a lot now, much more than even a week ago.  Our little girl is already growing and changing so fast.  I'm just praying that she sleeps for a few solid hours tonight.  Speaking of sleep, I need to wake her up, feed her once more, and then (hopefully) hit the sack myself.  Zach's in the Army, but I get less sleep... go figure.  I know, kinda short, but hey, it's the first one.  Night!

  1. Got on to your blob for the first time. Very nice color scheme and really good info.

You are Zach are both good at putting your thoughts to words and providing newsy stuff about all that is going on.

I agree - this will be a really good way to communicate with Zach when he down-range
